Fora Names Hub360 as One of Ireland’s Most Promising Startups in Their Startup Scout Series
In a recent feature by Fora, Hub360 was recognised as one of Ireland’s most promising startups in their Startup Scout series. The article explored how Hub360 is revolutionising logistics management by providing businesses with powerful tools to track and optimise deliveries. Co-founder John O’Neill shared insights on how the platform builds a detailed profile for each company it is deployed in, offering a comprehensive picture of daily orders, vehicle locations, and delivery details.
“It takes in details of the product type, composition, size, weight, destination, and origin, along with who ordered it and where it’s going,” O’Neill explained. “It takes all of that information and starts building up a profile.”
One of the key ways Hub360 drives efficiency is by grouping orders together. In the example shared by O’Neill, if a firm receives an order for Kilkenny, the system might delay dispatching momentarily, anticipating that another order for the same destination may come in. By bundling deliveries, Hub360 optimises loads, reducing the number of journeys and cutting fuel consumption.
Early Validation
As highlighted in Fora, Hub360’s early validation came from securing Respa Beds as one of its first customers. The platform quickly proved its value by delivering tangible improvements in logistics operations. While the market is full of logistics and delivery software options, Hub360 distinguished itself by signing Quinn Industrial Holdings as one of its flagship clients. The software is now used in several divisions within the group, demonstrating its scalability and effectiveness.
“It’s when Quinn took an interest that we knew we had something special,” added co-founder Denise O'Kelly. After this early success, Hub360 secured funding from Kildare’s Local Enterprise Office, which allowed them to further explore the market and refine the product.
Key Features: Traceability and Compliance
As the platform has evolved, one of Hub360’s primary selling points has become its traceability capabilities. This is particularly crucial for goods that travel long distances or pass through borders and customs posts. “All the information that’s needed to travel with the product is hosted on Hub and moves with it, whether it’s accessed via the mobile app or the desktop system,” O’Neill explained to Fora.
Hub360 ensures that all necessary documentation is electronically attached to the product’s profile. Drivers can carry digital versions of the paperwork required for customs clearance or other checks directly in their mobile app. “Any paperwork that needs to travel with the document is electronically attached to the wallet in the mobile app for the driver. If the driver needs to clear customs, everything is electronically captured in his Hub wallet on his driver app,” O'Neill elaborated.
Growth and the Future
Fora’s feature on Hub360 also highlighted the company’s rapid growth and its commitment to innovation. By addressing pain points in logistics, such as reducing fuel consumption and providing real-time traceability, Hub360 is quickly becoming a critical tool for businesses that need to streamline their operations.
The Startup Scout series places Hub360 in a spotlight, recognising its potential to reshape logistics management for companies across various industries. As the demand for efficient, scalable, and sustainable logistics solutions continues to grow, Hub360 is well-positioned to lead the charge. The startup’s ability to simplify complex processes, reduce environmental impact, and ensure compliance is a testament to its forward-thinking approach, and Fora’s recognition further validates Hub360’s place as one of Ireland’s most promising tech companies.
